Rand Paul went on CNN and suggested we accelerate our timeline for withdrawal from Afghanistan. I used to be against any of this talk, I thought we should be talking about achieving victory. Now, I realize that this is just unrealistic. I don't think we've had a strategy for victory there for years nor will we. We are just churning through troops in a war of attrition with no end in sight. I'd be for staying if we had a plan for actually winning. But we don't. So we should stop wasting American lives and American treasure on Afghanistan. Anyway, here is Rand Paul:
